Message from the Department Chair:
Welcome to the Department of Special Education at Eastern Kentucky University!
The Department of Special Education at Eastern Kentucky University offers undergraduate degree programs in
Learning & Behavioral Disorders, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education. The department also offers master’s degrees in Learning & Behavioral Disorders,
Communication Disorders, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education. In addition,
the department offers graduate certification programs in Learning & Behavioral Disorders, Deaf and Hard of Hearing,
Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education, and Director of Special Education, as well as Rank II and Rank I planned programs.

and the faculty who will work with you to help you reach your potential.
Our department takes pride in preparing highly qualified professionals
