IN EDUCATION - SPECIAL EDUCATION EARLY CHILDHOOD (SEEC)

Options for the MA Ed
in Special Education
Admission
To be eligible for clear
admission to any of the options of the MAEd in Special Education, applicants
must have the following:
- Minimum undergraduate grade point
average of 3.0 overall or on the last 60 hours
- Minimum combined GRE of 1100
on all three general subtests of the Graduate Records Exam
If clear admission is not met
and the student has a minimum GPA of 2.75 and minimum GRE of 1000, the
product (GPA x GRE) of at least 3300 will allow admission.
Students must also meet the
general requirements of the Graduate School.
Prerequisites for Interdisciplinary
Early Childhood Education (IECE)
- Bachelor's degree in special
education or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- The following courses or their
equivalent are also prerequisite:
- SED 104 or 575/775
- SED 260 or SED 360 or SED 522/722
- SED 341 or 590/790
- SED 352 or 372 or 576/776
- SED 518/718
- SED 375 or SED 574/774 or documented
successful work experience with preschool handicapped children approved
by the academic advisor
